The food at Corrymeela is amazing and there will be dinner provided on arrival. I’m sure you will be hungry before 7pm so I recommend you have something to eat before you get on the bus or else bring food with you for the journey. Toast, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate & squash will be available at night time but if you want to bring further snacks/food with you, please do so as there is no shop nearby. There is a vending machine at Corrymeela, which is regularly stocked, but you would save money by bringing your own.

What you need to bring:

  • Any prescribed medication
  • Flat shoes/Trainers/Converse
  • Rain Jacket/Warm Coat
  • Warm Clothes & changes of clothes
  • Towel – Don’t forget this!
  • Pyjamas (Decent and Modest)
  • Toiletries
  • Musical Instrument if you want
  • Snacks/Food if you wish

All clothing should be appropriate/modest. It is also important to note that bedroom doors do not lock from the outside, they only lock from the inside, so do not bring valuables/leave them unattended.

We are planning to leave Corrymeela at 2pm sharp on the Sunday. An estimated time of arrival will be confirmed on the bus, on the journey home, so parents/guardians can be contacted then through text/call. You can use the Living Youth mobile phone if you need to.

You will be on the same bus home as you went up on. The Living Youth Bus will be going straight to the LY Office, and the De LaSalle/Glenavy Bus will be stopping first at Glenavy, then onto De LaSalle.

Any issues regarding any of the information above then please do not hesitate to contact us.
