Parish GIFT Celebration Day – Dunloy & Cloughmills
We had a brilliant time in Dunloy, on Sunday 5th June, celebrating the second GIFT Fun Day of the year. Over 220 people joined us, from all over the Diocese, for a day of fun, games, food, friendship and faith. The day started with lots of group games in the parish hall and then the young people broke up into smaller groups for the various activities of the day. There was a drumming session, an arts & craft session where young people made rosary bag charms/key chains, a music session and a fun and games session. Following the sessions, we had an amazing dinner, played even more games and then the young people and their leaders ventured off on a treasure hunt around Dunloy. The day ended with Mass at St. Joseph’s Church and this was led by Bishop Noel Treanor, accompanied by Fr. Blayney. We would like to thank everyone who helped, supported and volunteered in Dunloy. I think everyone who was there can agree that the day was a massive success! Roll on next year. Click on the galleries below for photographs of the day.
